MEN PATTERNS

A lot of stories have been written about the competition between men and women and there will be plenty of that! I know lots of women who are trying to place themselves in a man’s world, in order to prove power and strength even with the risk of losing their femininity. It’s their choice! As for myself, I do not want that even though I love men clothes! Oh, yes! :) Now do not imagine that I withdraw some items from my boyfriend’s wardrobe! No, no! Thank God that we can find in the stores lots of women clothes created by men patterns! With these options, I admit that I love living in men’s world! And it’s f***ing great! :)Photography...

M.M.M.

Any avid fashion buff certainly holds a list of brands that loves and follows very closely. As for myself, I’ve always appreciated, among others, Maison Martin Margiela and this is the reason why, for today’s post, I have inserted into my outfit an article with this brand’s signature in collaboration with H&M. This is a versatile piece of wardrobe that can be easily worn, both during daytime and nighttime. Accessorize is everything! For today's post, I've chosen urban-bike style. So… ride with me!   Photography IULIANA POPESCU Loctaion BUCHAREST   ...

CARMEN IN WONDERLAND

I have realised that this blog gave me a great advantage: the opportunity to meet talented people like Gabriela Dumitran. I met her this year while surfing on Facebook. She impressed me so much that I immediately went offline and paid a visit to her workshop. Once arrived in the place where the talent, the imagination and the creativity are strongly linked together,  my attention was first drawn by the hats Gabriela exposed in her showroom. I met her and, yes, the impression was huge. Can you imagine what it's like to wear such a beautiful accessory? Believe me, it was the delight of all the street style photographers during the New York Fashion Week this year. Today I am...

COUNTRY CHIC

I wouldn't like you to think that I moved to the countryside! I am and will remain faithful to the urban settlement. But when I feel overwhelmed with everyday's life, going to the countryside means peace, family, reading and sweet escape into nature. As for fashion, two words sums up everything: country chic!Photography / Iuliana Popescu Location / BucharestDress Sonya Rykiel / Hat Top Shop / Boots Manoush / Tights Manoush.Jumper Abercrombie & Fitch / Shirt G-Star / Skirt Maison Martin Margiela for H&M / Hat Top Shop / Sunglasses Vintage.Headband Lachatterie / Neck cape knitted jumper Massimo Dutti / Gloves Mango.Jumper Zara / Short pants Massimo Dutti / Shirt Zara.Jumper Abercrombie & Fitch / Dress Divacharms.com / Boots Musette /...

GRAY MATTERS

Thinking of the Romanian poet George Topârceanu, I could say: "Chirr-chirr-chirr, This fall's trend is gray".   You've probably already heard that, this fall, shades of gray are the IT factor. Yes, I know, in the first instance, you might think that this color is gloomy, monotonous, dull. However, in terms of fashion, gray can be stylish and, at the same time, cool & young. The designers are inviting us to test our creativity. For a successful startup, here are some good tips: play with shades from light gray to dark gray, and, for a touch of sparkle, include metallic grays. For maximum effect, add a touch of color such as yellow or purple. The rest is pure imagination! Photographer / Iuliana Popescu Location / Bucharest   ...

CANDY CRUSH

My dears, I promised you that I would deliver more projects on carmennegoita.com and yes, I am keeping my word! Today’s post is a new editorial approach. My talented team and I dared to produce a make-up based photoshoot. Does Candy Crush mean anything to you? Well, for the ones who don’t know, it is a new addiction, a game, for almost all the smartphone users. I am not really addicted to this game, don’t get me wrong, but, due to this hype around it, let’s play it MY WAY. What came out? In my opinion… something DIVINE! My little game couldn’t be interesting without Cristian Buca – the celebrity make-up artist. He’s the artist behind many celebrities’ appearances such as Alexandra...

CHAPEAU BAS!

Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Cara Delevingne are only few of the celebrities that love hats. Even famous designers made few proposals on their catwalks.  Let's not forget that at the beginning of the 20th century, a woman use to wear 2 or 3 hats per day, depending on the situation. None of them would've showed herself in public without wearing one.  Today things have changed and this element doesn't represent an important accessory in the modern woman's wardrobe. The hat's glamour of yesterday can be found these days only at royal events.  With all this been said, a real fashionista knows that this season the hat plays an important role. Even if, sometimes, is difficult to come up with an attire that...

1940s FASHION

Hello fashionistas, I'm glad to be back with a new post. As you know, this season many designers have been toying with for a while has now taken over the runways, the 40s. The looks are feminine, elegant yet restrained, and firmly anchored in wartime Europe. The first sign that Fall would be a mid-century season came at the tail end of the New York shows, when Marc Jacobs resurrected old-fashioned fox-fur stoles complete with heads attached. By the time Milan was over, the 1940s had become a bona fide trend, with everyone from Gucci's Frida Giannini to Tomas Maier at Bottega Veneta showing nipped-waist jackets and below-the-knee skirts. In Paris, skirts flared to New Look proportions at Rochas and Lanvin, and...
