Autumn at LEM’S

I’m not a huge fan of American celebrations and Halloween is not an exception. However, I love pumpkins both for decorating the house and for cooking because they strongly empower the idea of autumn. Earthy shades, warm colors, but especially orange shade get me in the atmosphere of this gorgeous season. These days the Lem's team asked me to join a creativity game in their showroom. I accepted the challenge to decorate three rooms in my own way. So I chose two kitchens and one living room which remind me of my own house design. Shades of orange along with strong chromatics like red or black which I chose to complete by putting all kinds of pumpkins. To...

Timeless glamour

Fur pieces are timeless and for couple seasons they are in fashion again, mainly as accessories or details in certain pieces, but when we talk about vests and longs coats also. Especially now when they are available in different interesting colors like the purple accessory that I wore to NYFW with my red suit from Styland, creating a cool contrast. If you didn’t see my outfit, you can check it out here & here. Of course, you have the option to choose from natural or faux fur. It’s strictly about preferences, personal beliefs and budget. From all the fur items and accessories, I  believe vests fit my style the best. They are easy to wear, chic and extremely versatile. You...

There’s no place like home

For me the day is simply too short. I am always on the run. I run from one place to another, meeting after meeting, shooting after shooting, photo sessions, and so on. My phone rings constantly while I am trying to fix as many things as I can at once, struggling not to forget anything. However, even though  my daily routine it’s a challenge, I am trying to follow a healthy diet. So I choose very carefully my meals. Although I don’t always have time for cooking I avoid unhealthy snacks and I choose carefully where to dine out. I couldn’t exactly say (especially if I would inculde the ones outside the country) in how many restaurants I've been so...

My top 10 wishes for 2016

The end of the year was a little busy for me, so I haven’t had the chance to make a list with what I want to accomplish in 2016.  Only now, after the busy period ended, I managed to sit in front of my laptop and set 10 targets for this year. A list to help me to better mobilize & view clearer where I'm going and what to do better. In addition, I can return to it throughout the year and asses if I respect the proposed targets. 1. To keep me and my family on a healthy lifestyle. It sounds cliché, but it’s the most important aspect. I see and hear of serious situations that could confirm the fact...

Back-to-school Survival Guide

The beginning of the school year can be overwhelming for each parent. Including me. I’m proud of my children, but I must admit that the first day of school comes with a lot of requests, expenses and early waking up. That’s also true for parents with kindergarden children. I see that at my cousins. Each has two girls, aged from four to six (except the “butterfly” who is one year old, who will certainly be as pretentious as the older ones in a while). Well, these girls have a well established ritual before leaving for kindergarden. Hanny is six years old and she cares a lot about how she looks like. She is a perfectionist Virgo (like myself) who cares for her...

Which type of living suits your personality

Photography by Iuliana Popescu / Make-up by Cristian Buca / Hairstyling Alina Cartu I was wondering these days how the living of my dreams would look like. That space in the house that is nicely arranged, where you feel comfortable anytime and where you fill with good energy. Suddenly, I realized how many memories I have in my current living, how many pictures, how many birthdays and encounters with my relatives and my dear friends I had in here. It’s the place where we all see each other in the evening when we get home, the place where we welcome our guests, the place where all the family activities happen and by the way, it’s also the place where we will have a wedding ceremony on Sunday....

Lem’s makes your home awesome this Easter

One of my greatest wishes in the last time is to redecorate my house. The color combinations I chose eight or nine years ago don’t please me anymore and that’s because my style has changed with age, and the trends changed also. The first thing I would change in the house is the kitchen. I want a countertop in the center where I can lay all the stuff when I cook. When I first saw in the USA this type of kitchen I was fascinated. I was as thrilled when I entered the Lem’s universe. I made a top three kitchens, but my favourite was, of course, the one with a middle island. And after half a day spent in the Lem’s...

I’ve always appreciated and supported talented people. More than that, I wore with pride every time the Romanian designer’s creations. Today it’s time I introduce Sophia to you. Maybe you know this name from the music industry. Yes, that’s right. Sophia is also a singer. But besides that, Sophia has a workshop of fashion creation. And not any workshop. She is focusing on knitted items. All of them are handmade, from organic wool and contain traditional Romanian motives. Each creation is done in almost three weeks, depending on the chosen model, and for the collection’s masterpiece, they are using two meters knitting utensiles. The Sophia33 items can be found on, and on the official site Enjoy! PHOTOGRAPHY IULIANA...

Happy New Year, 2015!

My dears, we reached the end of another year!!! Another year in which we laughed, we cried, we achieved a lot of things and failed at others, but it was definitely an year in which we lived with intensity. At the end of every year I try to make a balance sheet. This year I’m writing about what 2014 meant and of course, a wishlist for 2015. I believe that many of you are doing the same thing and it’s good to analyze yourself, but especially to set high and constructive goals for the next year.    We all want material things and it’s normal, because we’re trying to make sure we have a decent life and the possibility to travel, to...

Happy Christmas!

My dears, I don’t know about you, but lately I feel like I don’t have enough time to do everything that I want. I’m on continous stir, trying to be multitasking, but sometimes I forget about important things.  Why am I talking to you about time in a Christmas post? Because on these occasions I try to make up for the time I didn’t spend with my kids and the rest of my family. I’m sure I can’t compensate for restless months with three or four relaxing days, but I have a very good feeling even if I compensate with short rounds. One of the things on my wish list for 2015 is this: more free time to spend with my...
