The British fashion house was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry by opening a store when he was just 21 years old. Despite his young age, Thomas had plenty of experience in fabrics, as he had worked as an apprentice textile merchant.  Focusing on the manufacture of outdoor items and being dissatisfied by the material they were made of, heavy waterproof clothing, Thomas invented a new material called gabardine. Dears, this week is a special one, in which I will post, for 3 consecutive days, thee stories about one of my favourite brands, Burberry. Why Burberry? Well, because we are talking about a brand which is loved by everyone, a label with tradition and 156 years of experience in fashion. I have prepared for today an outfit in which the trench is the main character, a garment invented by Thomas Burberry.
