LONDON FASHION WEEK

After sunny Barcelona, it’s time now for the windy and rainy London. Despite the cranky weather, I am every morning ready to meet new designers and new interesting people. I am ready to mingle with fashion crowd.  One red Gabriela Dumitran hat, Moschino shoes, Asos skirt, Moschino shirt, Christian Louboutin clutch and I am ready for new fashion shows. What came next? Plenty of photographs and one interview for Associated Press during which I was asked if it really worth it to make such sacrifices, to freeze in the rain for the sake of fashion. In any domain you are working or whatever you are passionate about, you must make sacrifices. Yes, even with the risk of catching a damn cold.  “At...

BARCELONA FASHION WEEK

As you have already seen on my Facebook and Instagram pages, I have attended Barcelona Fashion Week. The experience started with a meeting the Catalan media at Desigual showroom in the center of Barcelona, where I got the chance to meet the beautiful Irina Shayk. The model is the image of Why collection, launched at BFW. She has opened and ended Desigual show.    Even from the very first day, I was impressed by Pure collection of Sita Murt brand. A minimalist line in white and angora mixed with wool. The white dress in this image is my favorite, because it is the ultimate mixture of comfort, chic and sexy. The Sita Murt collection is perfect for dynamic and energetic women. The Brain &...

109

Here we are at the second set of taken during Barcelona Fashion Week experience. My favourite item of this outfit is the 109 oversized sweatshirt. You simply cannot help but falling in love with this brand! Each item is cleverly designed, even wrongheaded, but in an original way, catchy, when nothing is how it was supposed to be. But this is why I love it! Plus, it is a Romanian brand and you do know how much I support Romanian design!   Photography by RAREȘ PULBERE / www.rares-pulbere.com Location BARCELONA   SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS:...

FLORAL PRINTS

They say spring doesn’t come with a single blossom, but it can build a great style. And, speaking about spring, you should know that floral prints are back. And I am all over them.  You know why? Floral graphics are joyful, bright and feminine, just like me.Photography by RAREȘ PULBERE / www.rares-pulbere.com Location BARCELONASHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS:...

WITHIN REACH

As women, we all know the big truth: we cannot get enough of shoes. The same thing I may say about bags. :) Small, large, made of leather or textile, for daytime or evening, bags have become a natural addition of our outfit, as well as of our personality. These accesories have always been the subject of fashion trends. And, let's face it, we are way too vulnerable to such temptations!   Photography by LEO KLIM & GEORGE MARACINEANU Location NEW YORK   TODAYS OUTFIT   SHIRT / ZARA PANTS / PULL & BEAR SHOES / TOPSHOP EARRINGS / CHANEL (vintage) RING / OTHER STORIES BAGS / BOOKLETA / BE&D THE RIBBON TIE / HABERDASHER'S SHOP SUNGLASSES / URBAN OUTFITTERS / LINDA FARROW HAIR ACCESSORY / AMAZON...

CARMEN IN WONDERLAND

I have realised that this blog gave me a great advantage: the opportunity to meet talented people like Gabriela Dumitran. I met her this year while surfing on Facebook. She impressed me so much that I immediately went offline and paid a visit to her workshop. Once arrived in the place where the talent, the imagination and the creativity are strongly linked together,  my attention was first drawn by the hats Gabriela exposed in her showroom. I met her and, yes, the impression was huge. Can you imagine what it's like to wear such a beautiful accessory? Believe me, it was the delight of all the street style photographers during the New York Fashion Week this year. Today I am...

CHAPEAU BAS!

Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Cara Delevingne are only few of the celebrities that love hats. Even famous designers made few proposals on their catwalks.  Let's not forget that at the beginning of the 20th century, a woman use to wear 2 or 3 hats per day, depending on the situation. None of them would've showed herself in public without wearing one.  Today things have changed and this element doesn't represent an important accessory in the modern woman's wardrobe. The hat's glamour of yesterday can be found these days only at royal events.  With all this been said, a real fashionista knows that this season the hat plays an important role. Even if, sometimes, is difficult to come up with an attire that...

1940s FASHION

Hello fashionistas, I'm glad to be back with a new post. As you know, this season many designers have been toying with for a while has now taken over the runways, the 40s. The looks are feminine, elegant yet restrained, and firmly anchored in wartime Europe. The first sign that Fall would be a mid-century season came at the tail end of the New York shows, when Marc Jacobs resurrected old-fashioned fox-fur stoles complete with heads attached. By the time Milan was over, the 1940s had become a bona fide trend, with everyone from Gucci's Frida Giannini to Tomas Maier at Bottega Veneta showing nipped-waist jackets and below-the-knee skirts. In Paris, skirts flared to New Look proportions at Rochas and Lanvin, and...

ANARCHIC

Punk is the new trend in town!    Versace, Saint Laurent, Chanel and many other designers brought a new wave of black leather, latex pants, studded Dr. Martens to the runways, reviving the new era of punk-rock fashion. Skirted trousers, buckle-covered boots, plaid shirts, pair studs, spikes, chains and whole lot of leather the punk craze is back in full force. And who better to solidify the trend than Anna Wintour and her punk-themed Met Gala?   So, throw in some Sex Pistols tunes on your iPod, put on the right attitude and embrace the trend.Photography: Leo Klim & George Maracineanu Location: New York ...
