This month begin the most important fashion weeks, where there will be launched the fall – winter collections for 2015 – 2016. We still have to wait some good months until we are going to wear them, but we can prepare our summer thin clothes, sandals, summer colors etc. If you still don’t know the trends for this spring and summer I will make a short resume of what was presented last fall and I hope it will help you invest in the items what will not fail you.

DENIM

Denim began to appear more and more in the great fashion houses’ collections. Actually, casual began to be the new trend and if until recently we wouldn’t expect to see such items at Gucci or beach shoes on the Burberry catwalk, now it seems normal. There is more and more focus on casual, and the denim was always considered a must in street outfits. This season you can wear a total denim look. Deux pieces, overalls, long or short dress, all are very in. As a special color is indigo, but other types of denim also. So be casual and stylish. Chloe, Stella McCarntney, Gucci and other big names chose denim for this season.

TROUSER SUIT

The suit with trousers has been found on the greatest catwalks for more seasons now and I don’t think it will be out of the scene too soon. A well tailored classic suit is a must in every wardrobe anyway. In this year’s collections, the trousers and the jacket are in different versions you can play with. Count on the masculine attidude. My favourites this year are the ones from Chanel, Christopher Kane and Bottega Veneta.

GINGHAM

Gingham is a specific name for a certain type of plaid, the math notebook type. A highly effective print in pastel or intense colors. I personally love the white and blue shades combination, which is also one of the biggest trends of the season. You can find them in Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta and Altuzarra collections.

WHITE – BLUE

After black and white, which is in trend for many seasons now, the next two color stylish combination is white and different shades of blue. Plaid, stripes or floral prints, everything is in. The white-blue combination seems perfect for this season, because it makes us think about summer, sea, sun. Bora Aksu had in the collection many outfits with this trend. From light to dark blue in loose dresses or even suits, this trend was the delight of this collection. Oscar de la Renta and Alice & Olivia also used this combination in their collections.

BRIDAL LACE

Lace is another micro trend, because it’s reinvented from season to season. This year it seems like the dominants are the dresses with soft lace, which make us think about bridal dresses. So my dears, now we can wear a similar version of a bridal dress in broad daylight, on the street. The most beautiful models I identified are those from Chloe, Bora Aksu, Rochas or Givenchy.

FRINGE

I discovered fringe in a shoe collection from Gucci in 2007 I think and from then on they fascinated me. I was glad to see them again in trend in clothes and accessories. They catch the attention when you move and create a hypnotizing effect. So use and abuse. Some interesting models I found at Proenza Schouler, Giambattista Valli, Fendi.

THE DRESS – SHIRT

The dress-shirt. White, big or small plaid, with stripes, denim, the dress shirt is an essential item for this season. If it’s loose, you can wear it simple or you can mark your waist with a belt. On the catwalks you can find it at Altuzzara, Kate Spade, Rececca Minkoff or Emily Saunder. Affordable versions are at H&M and Zara.

THE KIMONO OVERCOAT

A very interesting combination between overcoat and kimono. With belt or without, relaxed and stylish at the same time, it’s a perfect choise for chilly days of spring. The brands that played with this trend are Tibi, Thakoon and Suno.

MILITARY GREEN

If you ever liked the color of military uniforms you are lucky, because this season also has a big trend with this color. Vests, pants, coats, treches, everything is in while it’s in olive, kaki or other such shades. You can totally invest in this color. Certainly next season we will see versions of this theme. My favourite looks from the catwalk are from Marc Jabocs, Ralph Lauren and Ance collections.

ALL WHITE

A white outfits from head to toe will certainly not go unnoticed. White represents elegance, distinction and refinement, so use it with confidence. It’s a summer color, but personally I find it perfect for winter, when it goes well with the landscape outside. Fortunately, for the fall winter season it will be a strong trend and based on the principle: build a sleigh in summer and a cart in winter, if you didn’t invest in beautiful white shade coat, now it’s the time to do it. So take out all the white, loose dresses from the wardrobe and wear them with gladiator sandals or any other type of slippers. You can inspire from Isabel Marant, Lanvin, Valentino, Balenciaga, Chloe, Ermano Scervino, Haider Ackerman, Kenzo,  and many, many others.

FLATS

Even if we speak of gladiator sandals, sneackers, oxford shoes or even the simplest slippers, the most important work for this season is flats. As I was saying at the beginning of this article, you can see more and more a tendency for casual, and this goes for shoes as well. I never expected to see on the Burberry catwalk a total absence of high heels and still, it happened this season. I love the androgynous style and this trend suits me well, but I’m not sure if I should be happy that now we can stop complaining about uncomfortable footwear or to notice with a little heartfelt that we are losing a lot of feminine elements. I let you decide. Burberry, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Oscar de la Renta, Yohji Yamamoto, Balenciaga, Celine and even Chanel are some great names that chose this trend.
