I love to travel and yes, I dream that someday under my job description, there will be traveler also. I have told you so far about Palau, Panama, Israel, and other distant destinations that I have checked. Today I want to take you with me on a short trip, but full of beautiful experiences.Where? To Budapest.
The flight is too short, so I chose to drive up there, especially since I like any road trip where be myself taking the wheel. The road was beautiful and I was happy to be able to see our country. Even though some drivers hate to cross Romania driving, I’m the kind of person who enjoys the road and so I arrived super excited at the destination. However, I have to admit that I had some work in Budapest, because Rares was attending a photo conference, but I combined business with pleasure and I had time to rediscover the city. I say “rediscover” because I was in Budapest four years ago and since then the city has changed a lot.

I was mega-impressed by how Budapest managed to reinvent itself. Comparing to what I saw four years ago, I can say that this city had a major update. Cool places, good food and the vibe of the city blend perfectly here. Although Hungary is known for the kurtos and the invention of the goulash, I want to tell you that there is no shortage of places where you can eat something else. Street food has flourished in the Jewish district and can be an exciting alternative to the elevated restaurants of the city.
I like to wonder the streets of every city I visit, but of course, but of course for the night I searched for more than a roof over my head. I like to indulge myself and so I came to a place with a story that I strongly believe in: family affairs have something special. It felt this way at Baltazar, the hotel where every room has a story. I had to reconcile myself with the idea that I should share the same room with actress Scarlett Johansson. They probably thought I’d feel like a Hollywood starlet … it was a true, we had a super “treatment.”
The hotel is located in the old town center in the Heritage Buda Castle neighbourhood, famous for the gastronomic cuisine. Anyway, I did not have check the surroundings for meals because the hotel’s restaurant is renowned. TripAdvisor is not wrong when it says tourists who first came to this hotel were impressed and returned even for the third time with love.

As I told you, the Baltazar Hotel is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Budapest, the Buda district, which is famous for it’s Baroque & medieval architecture. Here you can visit many tourist attractions such as the Royal Palace, the Matthias Church or the renowned traditional medieval houses. The atmosphere I felt on the streets of Buda, but also the music, the people and the beauty of the place, gave me a French vibe. The panorama over the Danube, with the Chain Bridge and the other side of the city, Pesta (Buda and Pesta) fascinated me!
Because I wanted to discover more places, interesting for my shootings too, in the four days here I managed to stay at two hotels. I loved the second hotel also, so I can’t pick a favorite. But I’m gonna tell you more about that very soon … so stay close if you want to learn other Budapest travel tips.
