How do you prepare your skin for summer

My dears, because in less than a month we will be exposed to the sun I want to tell you about some rituals with which you can prepare your skin for summer. Some of them I’ve discovered myself, others were recommended by specialists and I loved them.

A lot of people ask me what do I do to take care of my face. I have no secret recipe; I just take care of myself (I’m a maniac about this) and probably genetics help me too. The only thing I recommed is to act in more directions. Alimentation and hydration from inside, cleaning and hydration from exterior, massages, special treatments and of course to do something to bring a smile to your face.

For me, each morning starts with a glass of water and half a liter of tea, ginger and lemon. This mix is perfect for vitaminising and ginger is an excellent tonic, it takes away fatigue and toxins out of the organism. In the rest of the day I try to drink almost 3l of liquid (water and tea). This is the ritual through which I clean and hydrate my body daily.

The exterior cleaning (or peelings) are done at least once a week. Once a week or once a fortnight I do a good cleanse in the sauna, for the face and for the body. For the face I always use Clarisonic, with a cleaning foam or dermatocosmetic soap. For body I have more types of abrasive creams or black soap which I use together with a special glove. It’s important to clean the dead cells off the skin: it breaths and it hydrates better.

Another important aspect is make-up removal. I’ve heard a lot of stories about ladies which go to sleep with their make-up on. I remember that many years ago, when I was just a beginner in this art of caring, a cosmetician lady showed me how much we are hurting out skin when we don’t remove our make-up before bed. An unclean skin can’t breathe, and something that doesn’t breathe dies with time. So, my dears, make a ritual that every night and morning you clean your face very good. It extends its life. Wherever I go my creams and products kit weighs a few kilograms.

For my eyes I use the special make-up remover from Make Up Forever or Benefit, because it doesn’t contain oil and it protects my eyelashez, and for my face the cleaning foam (Rexaline, Benefit) or the Avene Soap. I clean with micellar water until the pad is clean and only then I can say that my face is clean.

After this ritual I begin the hydration. The eye cream and the face cream are essential. Almost twice a week use eye and face masks. A mask that I feel in love with lately is GlamGlow Mud. Even if the instructions say you should let it on the face only 10 or 20 minutes, I sleep with it all night, and in the morning my face looks amazing. When I’m in my sensitive time of the month and I have little pimples on my face I apply a thin layer of glycolic acid cream over the hydration cream. It does a gentle peeling until the morning.

And because I was talking about solar exposure, I always prepare my face before going to the beach. I drink carrot juice, I take beta carotene, I use autobronzants, but I also go to the solar salon a couple of times. I know it’s not the healthiest thing, but laying in the sun is not what it used to be anymore. So instead of getting burned on the first day at the beach, I prefer to go a couple of times at the solar so my skin isn’t hurt as much at once. This is a thing that I cannot give up even if there are so many negative opinions on the market. I’m addicted to the sun, I take positive energy from the sun and I love tan skin. White, porcelain skin is not my thing, but I appreciate the persons that like that. If you understand and support me, please leave me a comment.

What is more, I’ve recently discovered a very interesting autobronzants collection from Vita Liberata which I use to become more tan. And the face cream, which colors you gradually and hydrates is genius.

All I have to do is to lose 4,5 kg until June and I’ll be ready to go to the beach. And even if some find it funny, when I say this I don’t do it to seem interesting. I feel good only when I have a certain weight and a certain tone, because that also means a healthy looking skin.

I don’t know how you see it, but I think we have to dedicate a lot of time to look good, but the satisfaction is worth it. There are very few persons in this world who can say: this is how I look when I wake up, I make no effort.

I personally try to keep in touch with everything that’s new in the field on a daily basis, to find out about the newest non-invasive treatments, the newest creams, revolutionary products, make-up techniques etc and everything I discover I share with you.

I thought that May, the month for summer preparations, should be dedicated to the newest beauty techniques. I made some tutorials in collaboration with Sephora, which I hope will help you discover some special products, but also to learn the technique to do a certain type of make-up. Of course I prepared a lot of surprizes for you which are certainly what every woman likes, but I will tell you more about this at another moment. Don’t forget that you can ask me anything if you want to find out extra details.

Stay beautiful! Kiss kiss
