GRUNGY STYLE

Hey fashionistas! I'm so happy to share another post with all of you. Let's see what we have for today. You've probably heard about grunge style and probably you may not know exactly what it means. Read this material and you will know for sure.      If you want a definition heres one from wikipedia:   'The most important event in 1990s fashion was the rise of Grunge fashion in 1992. Grunge fashion was influenced by grunge music, which achieved mainstream popularity in 1992, due to the mainstream success of Nirvana and their hit single Smells Like Teen Spirit. The grunge style resulted in a decline in bright colours, and was dominated by plaid flannel shirts, stonewashed blue jeans, and dark colours like maroon, forest green,...

DELTA TRAINING SYSTEM PROGRAM

Sports is part of my life, so I'm always trying to discover new things. This is why I've accepted Armando and Denis' invitation to be part of their training program. Armando Lungu - World Class trainer will tell us a few things about the Delta Training System program.  ARMANDO: DTS is one of the most advanced personal training and nutrition programs (one on one) in the world. It is aimed at transforming your body and your lifestyle within 90 days. The objectives are: a lean body shape, losing excess body fat, getting muscular and toned and improving cardiovascular endurance. This system really works and improves the lives of those involved in it. My aim is to do this for as many people...

MAXI

This summer, a certain style of skirt has grabbed my attention - the maxi.    Equal parts laid-back and feminine, the maxi is easy to wear on the weekend with a wrist full of bangles or the morning school/coffee run with strappy (but appropriately and sensibly flat) sandals.    No matter what you do with it, a fitted pencil skirt will make you look the business nine-to-five but pulling on a relaxed, floor-sweeping skirt: pays off in the fashion appeal, comfort and versatility stakes. When you choose to wear maxi skirts, it's important to remember four things. Let's find out!1. Consider your height I’ll let you in on a short girl’s secret: too-long hemlines will only make you look shorter. Maxi skirts should just graze the...

TAORMINA & MOUNT ETNA (second part)

As opposed to the adventure on Mt Etna, Taormina is the most beautiful and relaxing city/resort I visited on this occasion. Archeological sites and ancient ruins are scattered all over the city, but the main attraction is definitely the Greek Theatre. It offers the most beautiful view of Etna and the coast. An hour later we said good bye to that wonderful view and we were on our way to Corso Umberto, the main pedestrian zone situated in the city center. If you want to do some shopping, to go for a walk, have a romantic dinner or simply to taste the best ice cream, this is the place to go to. I highly recommend the Sisili shop ( Corso...

TAORMINA & MOUNT ETNA (part one)

In my first traveling post I told you about Catania and Palermo, two very beautiful cities I've visited on my trip to Sicily. On this occasion I also had the pleasure of visiting the city of Taormina and Mount Etna. If you are looking for adventure, but also for a wonderful city to relax in, these two destinations will surely tick all the boxes.   MOUNT ETNA After a night that seemed to be too short, I returned to Catania, met my friend Lavinia and decided to get to the top of the tallest active volcano in Europe (3.340 m). Due to the frequent eruptions of the past years, it is also considered to be the most active volcano in the world, so were...

THE TRUTH IS IN DETAILS

Clothing may make up the majority of an outfit, but accessories are more significant than you may think. You might find yourself spending just as much time shopping for accessories as you do for clothes - and rightfully so. As Giorgio Armani once said,  "Accessories are important and becoming more and more important every day".  Accessories and clothing have equal significance in an outfit, working together to create an ensemble that expresses your style and who you are.Just like clothing, certain accessories are appropriate for certain occasions. Essentially, you can bring a staple piece of clothing from one occasion to another by simply focusing on accessories. For example, let's take a really basic outfit: a white button up shirt and a pair of fitted, straight...

High Top Sneakers

I'm all for athletic-inspired shoes and clothing, but the recent trend of high-top sneakers seems made just for models' bodies-at least at first glance. You actually don't have to have mile-long legs to wear them and they can be styled in a sophisticated way, you just need a little guidance.   Flat high-tops-whether they're classic dunks or a fashion-world iteration in gray denim, tie-dye canvas, or colorful leather, should be treated like oxfords. That means pairing the shoes with baggy, cropped trousers (a print or solid, it's up to you), a tailored jacket (like a blazer or peplum style), sleek jewelry, and a minimalist bag. If you prefer a look that's a bit more street, wear those flat high-tops with skinny jeans...
