It is said that when choosing a tourist destination, it matters less where you’re going than whom you’re going with.   As opposed to the adventure on Mt Etna, Taormina is the most beautiful and relaxing city/resort I visited on this occasion. Archeological sites and ancient ruins are scattered all over the city, but the main attraction is definitely the Greek Theatre. It offers the most beautiful view of Etna and the coast. An hour later we said good bye to that wonderful view and we were on our way to Corso Umberto, the main pedestrian zone situated in the city center.
