Two years of blogging

My dears, I can’t believe that it’s been two years since I started this adventure. I began in a shy way, without knowing the secrets of this job, but I learned on the way and I still have a lot to learn, but I have a joy, because I know I succeeded to inspire a lot of you. I know that at times I shocked you with my outfit choices and there are deffinitely going to be more of that moments, but my explosive and energetic nature inspire me sometimes to take such decisions. But don’t forget that fashion is not maths, it’s a moment’s fantasy which we transpose into reality through clothes. So dare for more and don’t be...

Romanian ”Ia” – fashion accessory

Today, on the 1st of December, everyone remembers to be Romanian and myself too, of course. Because my children don’t have this celebration rooted in their lives yet, I tried to explain to them what it means a little. And since one of the Romanian values is “ia”, the traditional women shirt,  I made for them and for me three modern outfits based on the “ia” from www.iiana.ro. Of course that the first reaction was “I’m not going to wear this, because it’s a popular costume”, and then I explained to them that “ia” has been more than that for a while now. It’s a fashion item, which the adults include in their daily outfits and why not, the children...

Raw chocolate mousse

I know that this may seem strange to many, but I’m not a fan of chocolate and yes, I know I’m one of the lucky ones, because many people adore this dessert. So it’s one less pleasure for me. But from time to time it’s good to make an exception.Today I’m going to give you something to enjoy. I tested a new recipe which turned out to be really good. I ate the mousse, I liked it, but it’s not something I would eat every day. But for the chocolate lovers it’s definitelly a delice so I’m going to share the recipe.I peeled one avocado and a banana, I put them in the blender and I...

WINTER WARM-UP

My dear ones, it is almost the end of fall. We are officially heading to winter season. That means it is necessary to prepare ourselves for facing bad and cold weather. As usually, I come forward to support you with hot ideas of styling.  You can play a winning game with this fur coat from H&M. Warm, but cool and eco at the same time. Being colorful, it gives you plenty alternatives for a stylish mix. And considering that trousers are in the top preferences for winter, I chose some classic jeans by a brand of tradition – Lee Cooper. Enjoy!PHOTOGRAPHY BY IULIANA POPESCU LOCATION BUCHAREST ...

GO VEST!

We all know that the vest is considered the third piece of a suit. Now, this garment became a versatile piece which is easily mixed in outfits. Redesigned in the latest fashion trends, it can be worn separately, both casual day and evening outfits becoming a basic item in the wardrobe of men and women. With asymmetric or oversized classic cuts, the vest can be easily combined with a pair of jeans and a basic t-shirt, classic T, or you can mix it with a dress in a vaporous or knitted fabric. The possibilities are endless. This stylistic exercise is an imagination challenge.PHOTOGRAPHY BY IULIANA POPESCU   In this outfit, I mixed the Urban Post vest with an H&M jumper and a pair of...

Homemade ice cream

Even if the summer is gone, for some the ice cream remains their favorite dessert. I am not a big fan of ice cream, but once in a while… couldn’t hurt – particularly the homemade one. Last time I wrote about frozen bananas ice cream, but now I played with some frozen berries. I love forest fruits and every winter I fill in my freezer mostly with berries which I use for smoothies and ice cream. How is it made? A mix of fruits is blended with a small quantity of water or almond milk until you obtain a composition that can be poured in dishes. However, try not to make it too liquid so the flavor of the fruits will preserve.  After...

Train like a beast, look like a beauty!

This is a motto that I like a lot! And it doesn’t only apply to sports, but also in the daily life. Any action that involves a lot of work and passion will bring us a lot of satisfaction. But today we’ll only talk about sport, and not any kind of sport. At the end of the summer I accepted my friend’s Adriana Chiper invitation to try a new style of training. I used to work with weights until than and at more dynamic classes and I thought that Pilates are too slow for me. But as the recent changes in my life have agitated me pretty much, I began to compensate with other kind of activities. So I accepted...

Natural Nutrition- the beauty cult product

Recently I had the honour of being the host of a special event for me. As I was telling you in the previous post, we introduce a lot of chemicals in our organism daily through air and processed aliments. Another way that our body is invaded by this chemicals is through what we apply on the surface of our body, like creams, deodorants and make-up. I was telling during the event about a study that I read some time ago and I want to share it with you also; it got to the conclusion that annualy we have a three kilograms intake of chemicals only from what we apply on our skin. That’s why I was very excited when I...

DETOX SALAD

Every day we have an intake of chemicals in our body from the air we breathe, but also through processed aliments. That’s why, from time to time, our body needs a cleaning or in modern terms, a detox. The best method trough which we can do that is a proper diet. Some choose a juice diet , others preffer detox salads, based mostly on green colour aliments. Why green?Because everything that is green alkalizes our body. Through using processed aliments in our daily menus our body gets too much acidity, and in an acid environment all bacteria and diseases have a proper place to multiplicate. The moment we choose to give up thermic prepared aliments and we base our diet...

Shopping in Paris with AirFrance

In all that fuss at PFW I managed to take some good hours on a day to discover interesting shopping places and not only. And because a shopping day needs an adequate outfit, I left  home with a special outfit for this. I chose a light dress from Brunello Cucinelli which I have had for many years now, but of which I never get bored. It’s from a natural material and this is very important, because it lets the skin breathe when we move a lot. I wore over it a dusty-pink oversized trench from The Front Row for NastyGal, because the moody wheather in Paris cand surprise you and for that I completed the outfit with a Zara hat....
